A Software development company based in Sri Lanka is looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to join their team.

Our client is an expert web development company that specializes in product development for their worldwide clients.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assists the leadership team in defining and driving all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
• Play a primary role in designing and creating test plans for releases, projects, and smaller changes.
• Act as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources 
• Test planning must be inclusive of manual testing efforts, automated testing efforts, and performance and security testing when applicable.
• Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
• Lead and mentor QA team members.
• Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual and/or automated).
• Has strong time management and is capable of supporting multiple initiatives in a fast paced environment.
• Plans, develops, co-ordinates, designs, and implements test strategies according to QA guidelines.
• Develops, designs, and implements automation test tools and strategies per specification and design.
• Ensures teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
• Maintain technical knowledge and understanding of the latest testing methodologies by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Ensures quality and consistency throughout the architecture and implementation of our testing method.
• Experience working in a collaborative development team either as a team member or Team Lead.

Profile

• 7+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance
• Experience in analyzing business requirements, recommending technical solutions, and writing test plans and test cases
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Java script development technologies
• Experience with Agile Software development methodologies.
• Expertise using automated testing tools such as Selenium, Jmeter, etc.
• Deep understanding of software testing techniques and QA process.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Problem-solving and Logical thinking.
• Experience with and deep understanding of Git
• Experience in writing JMeter and Selenium scripts.
• Experience with Jenkins and continuous integration
• Experience in training junior staff or knowledge sharing
• Ability to work to deadlines to ensure milestones and delivery dates are met.
